千葉県鎌ケ谷市のマンション高層階のベランダで、シャインマスカットの栽培と植物鑑賞を楽しんでいます。
2022年から栽培を始め、試行錯誤を繰り返しながら毎年記録を続けています。失敗も含めて、すべてが学びです。ジベレリン処理・自動灌水システムの自作など、本格的な栽培に挑んでいます。
I grow Shine Muscat grapes and enjoy plants on the balcony of my high-rise apartment in Kamagaya, Chiba, Japan. Started in 2022, and documenting everything — including failures. This diary covers gibberellin treatment, DIY auto-irrigation, and the full journey from budbreak to harvest.
3年目の栽培で、2年目の剪定が失敗したため、今年はすべての枝を切り落としてリスタートしました。現在は新芽が出るのを待っています。
After a pruning mistake in year 2, I made the bold decision to cut everything back completely and start fresh. Now waiting patiently for new buds to emerge.
2年目の剪定を誤り、樹形が乱れてしまいました。迷った末に、今年は思い切って全部の枝を切り落とし、新芽が出るのを待つことにしました。
失敗を恐れず、また挑戦します。新芽が出たらここに記録します。
A pruning mistake in year 2 threw off the vine's structure. After much deliberation, I decided to cut everything back completely and wait for new growth. Not afraid of failure — trying again. Will document new growth here as it appears.
現在育てているのは2品種。シャインマスカットとニューナイヤガラです。どちらも全部の枝を切り落とした状態で、新芽が出るのを待っています。
Currently growing two varieties: Shine Muscat and New Niagara. Both have been cut back completely, and I'm waiting for new buds to emerge.
剪定後の枝から小さな新芽が顔を出しました。この瞬間が1年で一番嬉しい瞬間です。緑のクリップで枝を棚に固定し、準備は万端。

葉が3〜4枚に増えてきました。背景には街並みと緑の山が見えます。マンション高層階ならではの眺めです。

白い小さな花が咲き始めました。ここからジベレリン処理のタイミングを見極めます。花穂の状態を毎日確認する、緊張の時期です。

花穂の先端を切りそろえる「花切り」を行いました。房の形を整えるための大切な作業です。
Performed "flower trimming" — cutting the tip of each flower cluster to shape the future bunch. An important step for achieving a well-formed bunch of grapes.
シャインマスカットを種なしにするため、ジベレリン処理（無核化処理）を行います。薬剤の種類・濃度・日付を写真に記録しました。
Applying gibberellin to make the grapes seedless (parthenocarpy). I photograph the chemicals, concentrations, and date for precise recordkeeping. Treatment 1: Gibberellin 25ppm + Fulmet 5ppm.
1回目のジベレリン処理後、粒が少しずつ大きくなってきました。2回目の処理まで10〜14日、毎日状態を確認します。
After the first treatment, berries are slowly swelling. Checking the vines every day, waiting 10–14 days for the second application.
ベランダが緑でいっぱいになり、粒もしっかりと大きくなってきました。自動灌水システムのおかげで、水やりの手間が大幅に減っています。
The balcony is now full of lush green leaves, and the berries are swelling beautifully. The DIY auto-irrigation system has greatly reduced the daily watering workload.
緑のビニール袋・白い不織布袋を使い分けながら、すべての房に袋をかけました。袋の中でぱんぱんに膨らんでいる様子が収穫への期待を高めます。
Covered all bunches with bags — green plastic bags early on, then switching to white non-woven fabric. Watching the bags puff out as the berries grow inside is very satisfying.
🍇 糖度17度！ ― スーパーで売っているシャインマスカットと同等の甘さ。ベランダ産でここまでできた！
8月11日、待望の収穫。糖度計で測ったら17度。市販品と変わらない甘さに感動しました。ベランダで育てたシャインマスカットを家族で食べた瞬間は忘れられません。
Harvest day: August 11th. Sugar content measured at 17° Brix — equivalent to premium store-bought Shine Muscat. Sharing the balcony-grown harvest with family was an unforgettable moment.
ハナカンザシは宿根草。今年は夏越しに挑戦中です。どうなるか楽しみです。

去年購入のシンビジウム。サンスベリアは100円ショップの3株からここまで大きくなりました。
Cymbidium 'Gold Ship' purchased last year. The Sansevieria grew from three 100-yen-shop plants to this impressive size!
サンスベリアの花は非常に珍しい！室内で咲かせることができました。
Sansevieria in bloom — extremely rare! Managed to get it flowering indoors. A testament to good care.
マイコン＋リレーボード＋電磁ポンプで自作。2つの鉢への灌水と液肥を自動管理しています。
Built from scratch using a microcontroller, relay board, and solenoid pumps. Automatically controls watering and liquid fertilizer delivery for 2 pots.
